Listen to the customer
‘For our profession the customer is the right to existence. Without customers there is no trade and of course no pay!’ says Sébastien Van der Stappen. He has worked at Brico for thirteen years. His career started in a franchise store of Brico in Namur region, then in 2008 as a sales consultant at Brico Jambes ended. He tells us about his work.
‘When I started I was quite shy but thanks to this job, I have gained self-confidence and I learned to be open to other people. Everyone who works with us must be happy to provide service and happy to give advice. To me this is a major aspect of our work. By listening carefully to customers, we are better able to satisfy them by offering the appropriate product or the appropriate solution.
I need a job that is varied and keeps me in motion. To me it is ideal to occasionally change department so I can learn new things and discover new assortments. At Brico I get the opportunity to do so. Through my work, I have won a lot of self confidence over the years. Brico is a professional company with good working conditions and furthermore the atmosphere is always good!’
