53,890 kg batteries collected

Manufacturers, importers and distributors are legally obliged to collect and recycle waste batteries and accumulators. In order to meet this obligation, all stores of Maxeda DIY Group have a collection point for batteries in order to have these recycled by Stibat (in the Netherlands) and Bebat (in Belgium). This allows batteries and accumulators to be processed safely and in a responsible manner according to national and European legislation and regulations. In addition, important raw materials are extracted and used again in the industry. This contributes to a circular economy.
