Monitoring use of pesticides

As early as 2015, Praxis stopped selling pesticides based on glyphosate. Maxeda DIY Group further developed this policy by drawing up criteria for plant suppliers and the use of herbicides / pesticides in the cultivation of plants to be delivered to Maxeda. Maxeda conducts regular samples to check whether suppliers adhere to these criteria. On 31 December 2018, 84% of all plant growers were already appropriately certified. The other plant breeders are currently engaged in the certification process in cooperation with Praxis and supplier Royal Lemkes. In 2018 Praxis also offered advice through the website and in stores to stimulate customers to lay out their gardens in a sustainable and climate-proof manner.
