Responsible production

Globalisation and International competition are reasons for many companies to have their products produced in developing and industrialised countries. However, the working conditions in many of these countries do not meet the fundamental working conditions requirements, as established by the International Labour Organisation (ILO). Maxeda DIY Group feels responsible for the working conditions in factories producing products for Maxeda's own brands. One of the requirements for suppliers is therefore to provide documented evidence that factories in high-risk countries meet minimum requirements, as defined by amfori BSCI. In this context, 116 amfori BSCI audits were carried out in Asia over the past year, all with an acceptable score. In addition, Maxeda is a member of amfori BSCI and takes active take part in networking meetings.
