Collection of waste

More than 94,400 kg of electrical waste collected in collaboration with Recupel. Brico customers have the opportunity to hand in batteries, low-energy light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and small electrical appliances in their store in the special collection units. This means that in doing so, Brico complies with the statutory responsibility to have discarded electrical equipment and low-energy lighting collected and recycled in a responsible manner. Brico collaborates with Recupel, which picks up the collected materials and organises their recycling. Wood, metal, plastic and other waste are disposed of separately at the Brico stores by certified waste companies.
In 2018, the following quantities were collected from Brico stores: 36,622 kg small power tools, 5,520 kg light bulbs and 104 kg large white goods
